Here is some additional information about some of the products we use and choices we've made:
We use an eco-friendly stamp on all our packaging, the die box and dust cover are made from recycled ABS Plastic. This stamp doesn't utilise a pad which reduces waste. It uses Low Emission Manufacturing (LEM) for making the printing plate along with water based inks. No Chemicals are used to finish products. No Effluent goes down the drain. The manufacturing process uses less power than it takes to light 100 watt bulb for 60 minutes.
Our workshop stands on tiles made from recycled car tyres instead of pouring a concrete base. Hand tools are used over power tools where possible and sanding etc. is kept to a minimum.
All our hairpins are finished with Nutshell wax. The product is eco friendly and non toxic, blending selected beeswax, Larch oil and essential oils to give your hairpin years of protection. It also uses no VOC's, formaldehyde or petrochemicals. ( http://nutshellpaints.co.uk/blog/what-are-vocs/ )
We recycle our printer cartridges and use printer paper responsibly.

We use LOGIC printer paper made at Husum Mill in Sweden. The mill is certified with ISO 14001, the international environment management standard, and is one of the first paper mills in Europe to achieve the ISO 50 001 certification for energy management. Their products are sourced from sustainable woodlands. This environmental certification means that the products are made using wood from well managed and legal forests. The Husum Mill is also certified with ISO 50001, the new certification for energy management.
W ISO 50001 is the international energy management system that encourages an organisation to follow a systematic approach in achieving continual improvement of energy performance, including energy efficiency, energy use and consumption.
